Standing for a Greener, Fairer Oxfordshire: My Candidacy for the Isis Division
I am thrilled to announce that I will be standing as the Green Party candidate for the Isis division in the Oxfordshire County Council elections in 2025. This is a moment of pride, responsibility, and hope for me, as I step forward to represent a community that I deeply love and believe in.
That’s why I’m standing as your Green Party candidate for the Isis division in the 2025 Oxfordshire County Council elections.
Why Me?
I’ve lived in the heart of this community, in Sadler Walk, for the two years during lockdown, and I know what matters to the people of Oxford. I’ve seen first-hand the need for cleaner air, safer cycling routes, better public transport, and real solutions to the housing crisis.
As a financial educator, author, and entrepreneur, I’ve spent my career helping people take control of their futures. Now, I want to do the same for our community—by standing up for local people, protecting our green spaces, and making Oxford a fairer, greener, more affordable place to live.
Why the Green Party?
The Greens don’t just talk about change—we make it happen. Across the country, Green councillors have fought for better transport, cleaner streets, and community-led housing solutions. In Oxford, we’ve pushed for action on climate change, safer roads, and real support for struggling families. Why I’m Standing for the Isis Division
The Isis division, named after the ancient name for the Thames, is one of the most beautiful and historic parts of Oxford.
But our community also faces serious challenges—rising housing costs, flooding worsened by climate change, and the urgent need for sustainable transport solutions. I am standing to ensure that Oxford takes bold, meaningful action to tackle these issues while championing social and economic justice for all.
My Experience & Vision
With a background in geography, finance, and energy, I bring a unique blend of expertise to this role. My work spans education, financial advice, energy trading, and shipping—giving me valuable insights into the interconnected challenges of sustainability, economic resilience, and urban planning.
As the founder of Money Tipps® and the host of the Millennial Money Mindset® podcast and YouTube channel, I have empowered thousands of people to take control of their finances and make informed decisions about their futures. My bestselling book, Millennial Money Mindset®, was shortlisted for a Financial Times writing prize, and its core message challenges the outdated idea that GDP is the only measure of success. Instead, I advocate for a broader, more meaningful vision of prosperity—one that values sustainability, well-being, and community resilience over short-term economic growth.
Having studied geography with a focus on sustainable development, urban planning, and energy, I understand the role that local government policies can play in transforming our cities for the better. My professional qualifications in shipping, trade, law, and finance mean I can advocate for policies that balance economic sustainability with environmental justice. And my time studying philosophy at the University of Oxford instilled in me a deep commitment to reason, ethics, and community well-being.

Affordable Housing & Sustainable Urban Planning – Working towards a future where everyone in Oxford has access to secure, affordable housing that meets high environmental standards.
Supporting Local Green Energy Initiatives – Engaging with innovative projects like Osney Lock Hydro and exploring the potential for a community power plant.
Championing Grassroots Action – Organizing community events such as river clean-ups and public forums to ensure that local voices shape local policy.
